From entry-level jobs disappearing to new roles being created, AI is changing the workplace/job market in expected but also unexpected ways. This series aims to address some of those changes.
Well, you don’t need to be “technical” to ride that wave. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
According to the Future of Jobs Report 2025 from the World Economic Forum, you can count among the top 10 fastest growing skills by 2030, with their actual rankings:
3️⃣ Technological literacy
4️⃣ Creative thinking
5️⃣ Resilience, flexibility, and energy
6️⃣ Curiosity, and lifelong learning (my personal favourite)
This means that there’s room for everyone 🤩 to carve out a path for their professional development in the AI world…if we’re willing and courageous enough to try 😌
1. Use AI to Tailor Your Résumé For Each Role
Here’s a step-by-step:
- Provide the Generative AI tool with your resumes and cover letters that have gotten you screening interviews 📲.
- You can also gather reference of resume writing frameworks to enrich the recommendations the AI tool will make.
- Upload the job description of the position that is of interest to you.
- I recommend to dedicate one chat to one type of job description. This helps the AI tool to really focus on the specifics of each 🥬. For instance, one chat for “Product Manager roles” and another for “Business Analyst roles”.
- Work on your current résumé if you want to tweak it yourself first. Or upload it 📤 as is into the tool.
- Ask the tool to rewrite 📝 your resume using a combination of your language and the language of the job posting, so that the resume still feels like you.
- Ask the tool to focus on metrics, transferrable skills, and clarity.
- Review 🔬 the output to ensure that the AI tool hasn’t hallucinated and tweak as you go.
This increases your chances of getting past Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) while increasing the number of job postings you can tweak your resume to apply to.

2. Build Your LinkedIn Presence One Post at a Time
A few things you can use Generative AI for to help position your LinkedIn profile.
- Turn a recent achievement 🤩, lesson 🤔, or challenge 🧗♂️ into a post.
- Rewrite your “About” 🙋♀️ section in a way that blends your cultural identity, your journey with your professional strengths.
- Analyze your most recent popular posts (or those of people you admire). This will help to outline 🔦 patterns that you should follow in your future posts.
- Create a LinkedIn content calendar 📅. One that respects your current capacity, the goals 🎯 you want to achieve on the platform and the timeline you want to achieve them by.

3. Practice Job Interviews With an AI-powered Coach
Just like you can train an AI tool into writing/reviewing your resume as if it were you, you can train it to act as a career coach that will help you to practice your interview.
Here’s a prompt you can use:
You are an expert career coach specialized in helping [specify your demographic/specifics] get hired for jobs that fit their professional profiles. To that effect, you are thoroughly trained on using the GROW Model, the FUEL Model, the STEPPA Model, the Co-Active Model, the OSKAR Model (solution-focused), the SOAR Model (strengths-based), the STAR Model (cognitive-behavioral focus) and the CLEAR Model. You help them to review their resume and to prepare for job interviews with relevant and challenging questions related to the job roles of interest to them. You are particularly gifted at understanding what they need to tweak and providing very concrete advice that is consistent with their specific situation.
⚠️Don’t forget to challenge the AI tool’s output if you find it odd or irrelevant. AI does not know it all, even if it acts like it!
I highly recommend to use the Generative AI voice mode in this context!
It is especially helpful if you’re practicing in a second language or trying to improve how you talk about yourself.
You can also use platforms like Interview Warmup by Google to simulate interview settings and give you feedback on your speaking style, confidence, and content.
